Evaluation

From 27th till 29th of February 2008 in Prague in hotel STEP there was already 10th edition of international conference IT Underground 2008, which was focused on IT security and main aim of this conference was to provide participants how to defend them self and how to improve their security.

Whole first day was organized workshop and each participant could chose from two parallel sessions by own interest. After first day, full of practical information, there was two-day conference. Foreign experts like Raul Chiesa, Enno Rey or Joffrey Czarny, fulfil all expectations and confirmed high-quality standard of this event. The highest rating from participants recieved lecture from special guest of conference - Skyper (member of independent organization THC - www.thc.org), who is well known expert in area of GSM security.

Because many of lecturers was accommodated in hotel, next professional discussion after agenda continued in non-formal way in hotel's lobby.

Big added value of this event was possibility to practise all presented techniques immediately on own notebooks, because most of lectures were held by system BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop). This targeted aim of conference was appreciated by all participants in final evaluation.
Even of quite good support of our media partners in Czech Republic many of almost seventy participants were from abroad (Poland, Germany, Austria) and so also after all lectures you could hear just English.

 

By this way i want to express thanks on behalf of organizing company SW MEDIA to all participants, lecturers and also to all our media partners.

I am really looking forward for next editions of this very professional and in the same time very pleasant conference.

Most lectures will be conducted in BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop) mode, aimed at
participants who have brought their own computers and therefore will actively participate
in sessions. Attendees will be able to boot their machines using a CD containing Hakin9
Live distro as well as documentation and then hack into test networks using the techniques described by the lecturers or try to defend themselves against such attacks performed by others.
